Moving Day

I still dont think she wants to move, but she still breathes like a bad porno, so off she went. Shawn said he could have her moved in about an hour, the only thing holding him back would be the elevator. Oh, and of course the fact that nothing is packed. My mom packed some each time we went over, Laci and Sara took down the pics and boxed /labeled the greater part of what they could, and eveynight i told grandma--put something in a box. ANYthing in ANY box- you dont need 6 toothbrushes and 8 bottles of shampoo. PACK IT.

Shawn called me to come get grandma because as he and uncle mike were there, she was walking around and they needed her moved. So i went to get her and we went up to my mom's house, AKA grandmas new house. My parents have moved all there stuff upstairs and grandma gets the entire downstairs. The first round everybody was just bringing in the boxes and putting them in the walk-in closets. My mom will go thru those with grandma in the next few days. Theres only 3 adults in the house so grandma has agreed that some of her stuff will stay in boxes for when Lexi or I get our new places. no need to have 60 plates and 40 cups...crazy.

Funny, but sad. Grandma was sitting in the family room with me, talking about when certain friends and other family will visit, and telling me to text my mom about where her pajamas were, in the red bag on the left side of the tables... very specific. After the THIRD trip of 3 full vehicles (An hour shawn, really?) when they were bringing in the boxes, grandma would get up and walk over to stand in the path of where they were bringing in boxes. I actually had to grab her walker to get her to sit down because she wasn't helping, she was in the way. Shawn, uncle mike, mom and dad are TIRED and if any of them quit she's losing her stuff. I cant explain why, but she she was back to her old normal- she had to know what everybody was doing and who was where, etc.

I kept telling her she got her pajamas and toothbrushes and maybe it was time for bed? It was almost 8pm and everybody had been moving, boxes, couches, random boxes from 10 years ago... everybody was tired and i know they wanted to stop but if she was awake, she would have everyone start unpacking. She was walking around, sometimes using her walker, sometimes just walking, i guess she was remembering the house? But she stayed awake, no matter how much i told her to go to bed. In fact- i think i made her mad...She was filling up her med packet, counting out her meds for the week. We'd been together all day, and i knew this was one of the last things on her list before bed- imagine my surprise when she asked Shawn to help break them in half! I WAS WITH YOU ALL DAY, Shawn has been moving your apartment and wants to rest before driving home. But, as all of grandma's family knows, only men, boys, things with penises can do hard work. Women/girls,etc are meant to be quiet and do the housework and not make noise. Sp breaking pills in half would be too hard for my delicate hands. (This is a joke as i have more testosterone than estrogen.) It just bothered me that shawn was working all day and had still had to do that menial chore.

Uncle Mike left first, then Shawn and i knew my parents were TIRED TIRED TIRED so i headed for home too. I should have stayed cause im pretty sure that my mom has a loooooong night ahead of her. Gradma will have my mom 100% to herself and one of them will go crazy. It's a race to see which one gets there first.

If you're reading this, please pray for my family cause... its gonna be rough. =(
